1625Design and constructionArchitect Juan Gómez de Mora. The ducal palace of Medinaceli (Province of Soria, Spain) occupies an entire side of the Plaza Mayor. A work from the 17th century, construction began in 1625 by order of the Duke of Medinaceli. Its architect was Juan Gómez de Mora, nephew of Francisco de Mora, with whom he had worked on the Ducal Palace of Lerma and with whom he has a great resemblance.
It is a Renaissance building structured around a two-story interior patio, which highlights its elegant and symmetrical sobriety.
