La FACT Cultural has presented "The Gaza mural; 10 meters for human rights", a large-format work by the artist Carmen Valverde.

An act charged with emotion and dense silence turned the room into a space of denunciation, memory and direct appeal to conscience.

The presentation brought together the painter Carmen Valverde, the women of Raha Association in charge of reciting some poems of the writer Armando Lozano, author of the collection of poems "GAZA EN LOS CIELOS", the communicator Jordi Dueso, promoter of parallel activities, and the gender policy councilor Lluisa Melgares.

An artistic installation, created by Amuntdona Association, accompanies the mural

Councilor Lluisa Melgares placed this presentation as one of the central events of the 8M commemoration.

The director of the La FACT Cultural congratulated the artist Carmen Valverde for this magnificent work.

The writer Armando Lozano offered one of the most emotional interventions defending the need not to look the other way.

The installation created by Amuntdona also had an impact... shoes stained with blood and mud symbolizing people who are no longer there "we don't look for beauty... we look for consciousness"

The last intervention by the communicator Jordi Dueso who highlighted "Carmen is a humanist before she is an artist"...

Jordi Dueso lamented the constant violation of Rights: "Rights are not negotiated... they must be guaranteed."
